This is the most affordable ukulele with a plug in pickup system that we carry. It is a KA-C, one of our best sellers, with an electric option for going into an amp or PA. The under saddle pickup is powered by an active preamp equipped with a volume and tone control right at your touch, as well as a built in digital tuner! The sound is sweet and percussive with exact attack. Even if you do not use the plug in right away, it is a good option for not too much more cost. We have been selling the KA-C for over 6 years now very well. We sell bunches every week and I never see them come back with problems. They sound great and, after our setup work, play very easy and smooth. This one has an excellent pickup system and the "onboard preamp" has a built in tuner as you can see in the pictures. For people like myself, it is the only way to not lose your tuner. (It can add up in cost!) Even without using the pickup system, that would be worth the extra money for this model!

The pickup is active and the battery compartment hold 2 CR 232 battery's that pop right out.
