Cordoba 20BM- Baritone w/custom setup!

This is a sweet sounding baritone ukulele. A clean and simple look in the classic Martin mahogany style. Very deep tone! We "dress" or level and re-crown the frets every time on this model. This makes a huge difference in sustain and the ability to get low action. By the time it gets to you, you will wonder how this can be so affordable. It's just a great deal. For a $200 Baritone with a solid mahogany top and a custom setup, it can't be beat!

Solid Mahogany Top • Mahogany Back & Sides • Matte Finish • Mahogany Neck

The strings used are Aquila Nylgut baritone uke strings, which include a wound 4th-D and 3rd-G strings, and nylgut 2nd-B and 1st-E strings. The Baritone ukulele is the same tuning as the high four strings on a guitar. A 4th lower than a regular ukulele, but the shapes are all the same. The main reason you would want a baritone ukulele is because it sounds so dang good. It is significantly smaller than a guitar but still gives you a similar depth and color. The standard G C E A just does not do this, and vise versa. Both G C E A and D G B E are the same intervals but with a different key and tension. The same shapes inspire different composition. It is fun to have both a regular ukulele and a baritone ukulele. Both are equally, and uniquely ukulele.

Buying an ukulele online can be difficult, but we make it as easy as possible by picking the best value models and spending the extra time to improve their playablity. And always, we are dedicated to giving you honest and expert service and advice.

Build Your Own Package!

You can customize your order in many ways. Cordoba no longer includes a carry case with these models, but there is a canvas covered hard we are offering a discount.

The other option on this page is to trade out the Herco, included humidifier, for the more expensive Oasis Ukulele Humidifier (OH-18). This is suggested if you live in a low humidity area.(parts of California, Nevada, Arizona, etc..) including cold winter areas if you are heating the air most of the day and night. For more info see our Ukulele Care link at the bottom of the site

None of these options are required. You can still create a package with accessories on the site by going to different product pages and adding to cart. This ukulele will automatically come with a Herco HE-360 Humidifier. The options are just for convenience and to offer an extra discount while you buy this instrument.

Put a note in the special instructions if you want it strung with a low G at no extra charge or any specific setup instructions(i.e. string for left-handed, I play light and like very low action etc....)

Aloha

Excellent
This is one of my first ukuleles. I have enjoyed learning on it. I teach preschool and the children have loved having a stringed instrument to listen to. They are learning as well. The sound is excellent. The body is beautiful. Great purchase!

I Love my Cordoba Baritone
I purchased my Baritone in August of 2011.

I was a little worried about getting a solid wood instrument - because I had heard of problems with cracking and splitting.

I shouldn't have worried. The body and Neck are solid and sound. the Mahogany looks gorgeous and is improving with age.

I have totally enjoyed my baritone. It has a beautiful sound and depending on how I strike the strings can sound like anything from a ringing bell to a heavy metal guitar (don't do that too often).

The satin finish on my ukulele is very nice - the more I handle it the better the finish seems to become. It just feels good in my hands.

I play it every day for anywhere from 30 minutes to several hours, it travels everywhere with me, and is still great, no cracking or splitting. And it still sounds very nice.

I had a belkin pickup installed when I bought it and it has also worked very well. I am just a little worried about how I am going to change the battery when it runs low, but it is still going strong after 18 months.

The only complaint that I have is I am wearing through strings a bit faster than I would like - but that may be a function of how much I play. Truly my Baritone is almost an extension of myself.

I love mine so much that when I bought my husband a tenor for his birthday - I bought another Cordoba.
