Anaole Custom Tenor - Koa/Mango
Ana'ole is a custom made Hawaiian ukulele from an experienced and creative local builder - Gareth Yahiku. Gareth has been refining the art of uke making for nearly 10 years and this is one of the finest we have heard. Gareth does not "pump um out". He builds around 100 ukes a year and only a handful of these fancier models. You really get what you pay for with a custom one man operation. The satisfaction of a pro level feel and balance can't be beat. This is a Hawaiian instrument and . This one is very unique. For the first time we have seen this blend of contemporary and av-ante grade. Classic design with a flare and Gareth is not one to keep it boring. Here he uses a glowing curly book matched koa top along with a striking set of mango wood. Everyone at the shop admired the tone wondering if this was a magical calculation and perhaps we should try to keep a standing order on it.
Gareth “Bula” Yahiku did much of G string’s custom work before opening his own shop on the west side of our island. His ukes are professionally made and have a fantastic sustain that rings out. This instrument is a Kamaka style gloss finish that gives you the reflection of curly koa at any angle. It has top binding and purfling and an abalone rosette that jumps out the way only the best abalone does. This is a high grade locally made tenor ukulele that will bring a lot of joy to it’s lucky owner. We are not always able to get Ana’ole ukes with the custom woods and features. Grab this one today and you’ll be lovin’ it!
